Romantic thriller from Argentine writer-director Lucia Puenzo. Teenager Lala (Ines Efron) has fallen in love with her well-off family's maid, La Guayi (Mariela Vitale Emme). After the unexplained death of her father, Bronte (Pep Munne), Lala runs away to the Paraguayan town where her lover grew up. While waiting for La Guayi to join her, Lala makes shocking discoveries about the maid's past. When she hears that La Guayi has been blamed and captured for the death of Bronte, Lala returns home, putting her own freedom at risk to save her.
