The dangerous lives of altar boys [videorecording]
2004
Videos and DVDs
Set in the 1970s, this is the story of two rebellious teenage boys, Tim (Kieran Culkin) and Francis (Emile Hirsch), who attend a strict Catholic school presided over by the strict, humourless one-legged Sister Assumpta (Jodie Foster). The boys spend their time pulling elaborate pranks and creating a comic book, illustrated by the exceptionally talented Francis, featuring themselves and their friends as superheroes in a fictional universe. When the comic is confiscated by Sister Assumpta, the boys plan revenge, but this time their prank goes to far, and misfires with tragic consequences.
