A feel-good film about struggling Cuban musicians. Ruy (Alberto Yoel) and Tito (Roberto Sanmartin) have been playing together for years when they meet a Spanish music producer looking to sign Havana bands. As their dream edges closer, Ruy becomes romantically involved with the producer which causes friction. The prospect of a recording contract in Spain is tantalisingly close but if Ruy and Tito leave Cuba they can never return. Ruy has a wife and children while Tito is free of such ties, leaving Ruy to make the most difficult decision he has ever faced...
