James Gunn writes and directs this action adventure sequel based on the DC Comics characters. Recruiting inmates from Belle Reve penitentiary, Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) forms Task Force X aka The Suicide Squad - a group of unlikely heroes comprised of imprisoned criminals including Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Peacemaker (John Cena), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Ratcatcher (Daniela Melchior) and Polka-Dot Man (David Dastmalchian). Sent to the island of Corto Maltese, the team is tasked with destroying the Jotunheim prison, where The Thinker (Peter Capaldi) is conducting experiments for Project Starfish.
