Dark fantasy horror based on the fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm. Gretel (Sophia Lillis) and her younger brother Hansel (Samuel Leakey) are forced to fend for themselves after their mother throws them out. While looking for food and work, the pair are saved by a Huntsman (Charles Babalola) before being drawn to a house in the woods, whose owner, Holda (Alice Krige/Jessica De Gouw), invites them to stay. However, while Hansel indulges himself, Gretel remains fearful of their generous host, whose true intentions for the siblings are soon revealed.
