Videos and DVDs
Semi-fictionalised account of a few days in the life of poet Dylan Thomas. The film follows Thomas (Celyn Jones) around 1950s New York as he is accompanied to a performance by literary professor John Brinnin (Elijah Wood). As Brinnin tries to save his friend Thomas from his rampant alcoholism, the pair exchange insights about poetry and what it means to each of them, often to the fury of the other. In addition to performing, they also critique students' work together and debate with Ivy League professors, but nothing it seems can tear Thomas away from his self-destructive path.
