Triple bill of films from the award-winning director. In 'Ashes of Time Redux' (2008), Wong Kar-Wai revisits his lavish 1994 martial arts action film with this restored and expanded version. Broken-hearted hit man Ouyang Feng (Leslie Cheung) moves to the desert after being jilted by the woman he loved. His experiences have left him pitiless and cynical, and he spends his time hiring skilled swordsmen to carry out his contract killings - but as time passes he starts to question his solitary existence and develop tentative relationships with the people around him. 'Chungking Express' (1996), is a celebrated portrait of a neon-lit city populated by love-lorn cops, dangerous drug smugglers and California dreamers. The film comprises of two separate stories, the first of which features a cop (Takeshi Kaneshiro) who falls for a mysterious woman (Brigitte Lin) in a late night bar, little knowing that she is a big-time heroin smuggler. The second story features another cop (Tony Leung) who regularly visits a late night diner where he is served by a girl (Faye Wong) who has a huge crush on him; the girl then begins breaking into the cop's apartment, cleaning it for him, and adding little touches to help him get over the departure of his air-stewardess girlfriend. Finally, in 'Happy Together' (1997), gay lovers Ho (Cheung) and Lai (Leung) are en route to tourist spot Iguaza Falls in Argentina when they have a falling out. Ho walks out on Lai, who finds work in a Buenos Aires tango bar. There he sees Ho in the arms of another, and when Ho contacts Lei to resume the relationship he says he is not interested. However, when a badly beaten up Ho arrives at Lei's flat, he takes him in, but the relationship is still not working: Ho sees other men, and Lei resorts to stealing Ho's passport to keep him close at hand.
