Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal star in this 12-part adaptation of the novel by Sally Rooney. The show charts the complex relationship of Marianne Sheridan and Connell Waldron (Edgar-Jones and Mescal) as they grow up together in rural County Sligo before attending Trinity College Dublin. A passionate romance develops between misfit Marianne and popular jock Connell at high school, but Connell insists on keeping their relationship a secret. As they move to Dublin for university, the pair are reunited, with Marianne flourishing and Connell struggling to find his place.
