Summary

Alena Townsen and Rob Hollinthwaite run away together when James' father, a wealthy landowner, forbids them to see each other. When they are discovered, Rob is sent away to school and Alena has to start work in the local bobbin mill. Her love for Rob is severely tested when she meets the mill's new foreman.
